Conversation courses are offered from elementary to advanced levels. They are a great opportunity for students to focus just on their speaking skills. They are given throughout the year. Morning and evening classes are available.

Examination Courses
Students who wish to gain admission into English-speaking institutions of higher learning may be required to pass any of the following exams. Our courses focus on test-taking techniques and include samples of practice exams to make sure you are ready for the test. Our students have a high success rate in these exams.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
Practice for the computerized test is available in our computer labs.
SAT I (Scholastic Aptitude Test I)
This examination covers various topics such as mathematics, reading comprehension and logic.
GRE (Graduate Record Examination)
This test measures verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing skills.
GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)
This test evaluates verbal and mathematical skills as well as general knowledge and preparation for graduate study.
International Certification
ALLC offers students the opportunity to earn international English language certificates by preparing them for the official exams.
TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)
This exam is a standard assessment of English-language proficiency. Government agencies, corporations and international organizations use the TOEIC to ascertain the English-language capabilities of employees. Examinations are offered twice a year.

ECCE (Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English)
Students taking advanced level courses have the opportunity to prepare for the Michigan Competency Exam. This exam involves writing, grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening and an oral interview. Examination offered twice a year.
ECPE (Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English)
Examination offered twice a year.

CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English)
This is the highest level of EFL examinations. This is suitable for students who have completed the appropriate courses, (CPE1-CPE8). Examinations are offered twice a year.

English for Law
A short introductory course for practicing lawyers who wish to enhance their English skills for legal correspondence and drafting contracts.
English for Engineers A short introductory course for practicing Engineers who wish to enhance their English skills in technical terminology.
English for Banking
An introductory course covering telephoning techniques, written correspondence and day-to-day interaction in a banking environment. |
